Summary of the summer 2006

World Changers and Mission Connect, numbered 236 (181 WC and 55 MC) youth and counselors in Alaska this year. They worked on approximately 25 houses. Bubba and other volunteers from Lighthouse community cooked for them while they were in Anchorage, Palmer, and Nikiski.
Denver Copeland is Pastor of Lighthouse Community Church and is the Coordinator for World Changers in Alaska. The youth from Lighthouse joined the team at North Pole. There were 6 work teams in Nikiski, remodeling the Church nursery and building a pastor's house.

In Nikiski, Children's pastor Randy and Youth pastor Corey managed the two Baseball camps that totaled 58 attendees, a Basketball camp with 23, a soccer camp with 41, and a cheerleading camp with 24; finishing strong with VBS, 110 children. (Children's pastor Randy stated that he would cut his hair off if they had over 100 so he had to get all his hair cut off). Two groups came to sing (youth choir from Blairsville GA and the Liberty Quartet from Utah). In September they started their 7th year of the Elementary school breakfast program and 2nd year of monthly Good News Club at the school. A Bible Club at the high school, and scheduled "Meet You at the Pole breakfast on Sep. 27 for all community youth and parents. They had weekly paint ball games and will have a tournament Sep. 23rd. On September 24 they invited all the fire fighters/EMT's and their families to Sunday service to recognize them for their service to the community and to stay for a steak and shrimp dinner after services
